Experience many of the great attractions and activities magical Mývatn and its surroundings has to offer.

Join us on an ultimate journey to the fantastic Mývatn, we start by stopping at the beautiful waterfall Goðafoss with its beauty and great history, from there we continue to the wonderful Mývatn with its rough volcanic environment, rich bird life and flora. There we will stop and enjoy many of its greatest pearls and activities such as:

  • Skútustaðagígar

  • Snowmobile tour

  • Dimmuborgir

  • Off-road tour to Lúdent

  • Sigurgeir Bird Museum

  • Hverir

  • The natural Geyser bread "bakery"

  • Grjótagjá

  • Vogafjós (Cow Shed Restaurant)

  • Mývatn Nature Bath

  • Northern light hunt* (if the conditions are favourable)

- Skútustaðagígar, is a cluster of very unique volcanic land formations (pseudo craters) which got formed during a eruption in the area. This type of land formations have only been found in three places in Iceland and then on the planet Mars.
- Snowmobile tour, get the thrill of riding a snowmobile, a 1/2 tour exploring the area of Lake Mývatn. You can enjoy magnificent view of the surrounding mountains from the lake.
- Dimmuborgir (Dark castle), is a unusually dark and rough lava field which contains many volcanic caves and strange lava formations such as “The Church”, sometimes also referred to as the catacombs of hell.
- Off-road tour to Lúdent, here we take a short off-road tour up to the top of the ash crate ring Lúdent where we will enjoy a splendid panoramic view over the surrounding area.
- Sigurgeir Bird Museum, a visit to a very interesting bird museum where stuffed specimens of all Icelandic birds can be seen.
-Hverir has countless of hot mud springs and steam vents in widely different colours.
- The natural Geyser bread "bakery", we stop and look at how the locals bake their own very special Geyser bread.
- Grjótagjá, is a small lava cave under the fissure between the European and American tectonic plates near lake Mývatn with a thermal spring inside.
- Vogafjós, a unique cow shed restaurant where you can sit down and enjoy a wonderful dinner made from the farms own ingredients while observing the life cows trough glass windows.
- Mývatn Nature Bath, take a relaxing bath in the healthy natural silica water, a perfect way to end an eventful day as this.
- Northern light hunt, if the conditions are favourable then we will try our best to turn on and hunt down the Northern Lights on our way back to Akureyri.

An exciting and eventful day you will tell all your friends about for a long time with a gleam in your eye.
