Join us on a Super Jeep hunt for the Northern Lights
We will take you out in to the dark and frozen winter night in one of our Super Jeeps for a hunt for the spectacular Northern Lights. A vivid Northern Light display is like nothing you have ever seen before, to watch the spectacular show of color, light and texture dancing on the sky is like a fairytale to those who are fortunate enough to observe it.
Normally we will take you to some of the better known easy to reach viewing spots such as Goðafoss or Héðinsfjörður, but if non of those location look promissing for the night then we will try to take you to some locations at a higher altitude in the mountains around Akureyri for a better chance to see the lights.
We will also do our best to assist you with your camera settings so that you can take good photos of the lights to show you friends back home.
Since the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon then we can however not guaranty that we will be able to see the lights every time, but we will certainly do our best and try to have a good time during our search.
If no light are spoted during the tour then we offer a second try for free next time we have a booking.
Departure: 21:00-21:30pm depends on which month it is.
Duration: 2,5-3 hours
Includes: Super Jeep transport, an English speaking guide and crampons if needed.
Price per person:
Super Jeep: 19.500- ISK / 130- EUR / 140- USD per person (minimum 2 persons)
50% discount for children 0-12 years when minimum has been reached.
